Biography
Peter (Pete) Edward Schiros (12/07/1921-07/03/2000) was born in Brooklyn, NY. He married Mary Ferrante on 04/08/45 while still in uniform. Children are Linda (Deane) and Robert. Grandchildren are Jennifer Deane (Keppler), Jeffrey Deane, Gregory Deane and Scott Schiros. Dad graduated with an Engineering degree from Newark College of Engineering on June 5, 1956. He used the GI Bill to fund his college education. He worked for Western Electric (later Bell Atlantic) for over 30 years. Dad became friends with another USS Boston crewman, Dominick Ferrante, probably because Dominick had the last name as our mother, even though they were not related. Dad and Dom reconnected many years after their service and got together occasionally with their wives.
